Do you think a half bezel bracelet is a classic or could it be dated in years to come? I know that a 3 or 4 prong is the most classic, but would like to consider the half bezel. Also I am looking at a 3 ct size. Do you think that that is too small of a size have in a half bezel? I tried on the 3 and 4 prong recently and thought the 4 prong was a lot of metal for that small of stones. They didn''t have a 3 ct half bezel to try. I am still working on my project and will be using Whiteflash for the ACA stones. Thanks for all of the patience and help so far.

Is this the lovely you are thinking about?

I think the picture posted is really pretty and probably wouldn''t look dated. But I''d say it has a LOT more metal than my 4 prong tennis bracelet. All you really see on mine is a row of sparkles...the metal is not noticeable.

I''ve got a line bracelet mounted with half bezels...

I love it, and think it''s timeless, but I do think the half-bezels give the bracelet a more conservative, ''tailored'' look than one with prong set diamonds.

Just my opinion...which may not be worth much...I''m OLD!

This is gorgeous - I like it better than the "traditional" settings... it''s unique but how could it ever be "dated"? I didn''t know real beauty was trendy? It also looks more comfortable and like it would be more fluid on the wrist. I definitely like ''traditional'' ones, but I like this one even more!

Do you think that this setting will look good with a 3 ctw? The smaller the diamonds the more the setting shows and I am not sure which ones are suited best for a smaller tdw. Any thoughts? I have looked in the Show me your diamond bracelet thread, but can''t find many 3 ct bracelets, and don''t think I saw a half bezel or 4 prong in that size on a wrist.

I think the half bezel bracelet is classic and timeless. To me it makes the stones look rounder than the prong set styles and it makes them look a little bigger. When I was searching for a new bracelet not long ago I tried on a number of different styles at various jewlery stores during a trip to Las Vegas. I looked at a 4 carat half bezel. It was really lovely, but I will say that you do see a lot of metal when you look at it up close.

I''d probably call and ask WF their honest opinion. I''m inclined to think that half-bezeling the diamonds would be a good idea, making the bracelet more substantial overall, and making the diamonds look bigger.

It sure would be helpful to see a wristshot of the bracelet you''re considering, if you can''t find one IRL to look at..

I''ve always been fascinated with this neckshot of Mara. The top diamond is has a full bezel and is .15cts, the bottom...prong set...has .38cts. Hard to believe that the bottom diamond is more than twice as big as the top one! This picture convinced me that bezeling does help ''beef up'' small diamonds...

I think that is a gorgeous setting for a bracelet. I don''t think it looks too trendy at all. It is elegant!

lol widget, your post made me laugh. just the way you phrased it 'fascinated by this neck shot of mara'....hahahaha...when it's really just the size of the baubles that has your attention!!

i know, seeing my sister's bezeled diamond really gave me an itch for a .60ish stone with a full bezel rather than a .1c solitaire set like my regent. it would save me a good hunk of change and probably look almost the same size wise. that bezel made a ~3.4 mm stone look close to a 4mm stone.

I tried on a half bezel 3 ct bracelet today with milgraining. It is my favorite so far. It really enhanced the diamonds and went beautifully with my ering. There was a huge difference between the one that had milgrain and the one that didn''t. Do you think that Whiteflash could do milgrain or get a setting like that?

Here is the milgrain bracelet I really like.

That milgrain bracelet is just gorgeous and it would be something a little different!

I think it''s just great! Especially if you have an antique style Ering!

Why not call WF and ask if you could have their bracelet with millegrain...compare prices, and GO FOR IT!!

Good luck.
