Hello. Considering a diamond with the following parameters and wondering if a 50% star length is good or not good in terms of maximizing the brilliance/performance of the diamond? Can someone kindly assist as this part has gotten us so confused!

Depth 61.9 %
Table 56 %
Crown Angle 35.0°
Crown Height 15.5%
Pavilion Angle 41.2°
Pavilion Depth 43.5%
Star Length 50%
Lower Half 80%
Girdle Medium, Faceted, 3.0%
Culet None

I reported this to move it to Rocky Talky for you. You will get many more replies than on the proposal board :)

Hi,

Did you check the HCA on it. It gives a score of 3.5.

I wonder why you are wondering about star-size, when other factors are not the very best?

Live long,

Agreed. It's a steep/deep stone to begin with; I'd worry more about the crown and pavilion angles than the star length percentages on this one. :read:
