..small for a Mark Morrell setting? I''ve spent ages here and I think I''ve seen just about every single setting there is. I really do love Mark''s work but a part of me thinks that 0.75ct would be too small for one of his settings and that I won''t be able to appreciate much of what I love about the setting in real life. Other than Mark Morrell I also like the Vatche Swan and Sisley settings and Leon Mege''s classic solitaire.

What do you think would look best? Please feel free to suggest any other settings you have in mind.

Thanks!

I love Mark''s work and I think a .75 ct diamond would look super in one of his creations!!! The Vatche Swan is also beautiful but I have adore MM so that would be my choice!

I think that size would be perfection in a Mark Morrell! His work is so fluid and very delicate IRL. Go with what you love!!

not too small at all. MWM settings are beautiful! go for it, if it is what you love, and you are the one that will be able to see the details and view it everday so at least you can enjoy it.

One of the settings MM shows on his website is set with a .75ct stone and his price list shows sizes from .75 to 2 ct. His settings are gorgeous. I personally would prefer a custom MM over a name brand.

I think a .75ct in a MM would be heavenly!

thanks for the replies so far.

Sometimes I lose context after spending time on here because where I live (London) 0.75ct is waaay above average but to me it seems too small to be in a Mark Morrell setting since most of his rings I''ve seen here are atleast 1+ct. Another thing is that I like to be able to see as much diamond as possible from the sides and his prongs cross over at the base and overall the designs of his ring cover up much more of the diamond. But I''m not sure if this will be an issue for me in real life.

A MM would be my dream setting!

there are some gorgeous MM out there that he has done in that size range. Nice size!

Not at all!!

Go to Good Old Gold''s website and look at the Flame setting.
They have a wonderful video posted (ahem... I look at it just about every day, dreaming.... but I digress). The video features a .81 ct stone in a Flame setting.
It is beautiful!!

Best wishes!

I agree with the others... I think it would be beautiful!
