Hannah's been living with us for a few weeks now, but I feel bad that she hasn't had an intro thread and seeing the new puppy thread got me moving!

We got Hannah to be a companion to our existing buny, Otto. Bonding bunnies can be tough, but they've had a really easy time of it and are currently on their second day living together!

They love to snuggle together but aren't crazy about grooming each other yet - they'll get there though.

Hannah came from a girl in NYC who didn't have time to give her the exercise she needed anymore because of her job. She's been doing really well with us - she's active, but not destructive and she loves having Otto as a friend. She's still a little nervous around DH and I, but she loves to be petted and will smoosh down for pets.

Here she is! Sitting on our dining room chairs - her favorite spot.

They both look so adorable in this one - I love Otto''s face.

And finally, two snuggle buns in their temporary pen. They have to live together for about a week in this temporary space to solidify their bond, but then they''ll be officially buddies for life

Very cute. How do you exercise bunnies? Are they "fixed" ? I don''t know anything about having bunnies.

Oh my god, I just made a sound that only dogs can hear when I saw those photos. The cuteness is overwhelming! Hannah is ADORABLE. The two of them together is too much for me. My head is going to explode!!! I LOVE THEM!

Bahahah! I freaking love those two! Otto is an internet sensation, and Hannah is sure to follow!

Luff for the Palindromes!

Thanks, VC!

Lulu, for exercise they just need time out of their pen to run around every day and I do some training sessions too to keep them mentally stimulated (Otto can stand up, spin around, and a few other things). I think of them like cats, but cats that I can lock up at night so they don't get into trouble

Much of the time they just come into the living room and hang out, but a few times a day they get crazy and do super fast laps around the coffee table and leaps into the air. It's really cute! And yep, they're both fixed. Unfixed bunnies are no fun to live with and don't get along together (even same gender).

NEL, thank you!! I think they're pretty darn adorable too

Otto is seriously the cutest and squishiest bunny I've seen (and I work in rescue, so I've seen a lot, though I'm biased

) and he and Hannah make such a pair. I'm just such a sucker for lops (Otto's a holland lop, and Hannah's a mini lop, so she's abut 1lb heavier than him). I've had dogs and other pets growing up, and can't wait to have a dog again, but I seriously think bunnies are the cutest pets I have ever had.

Lol, thank you Elle! Otto is quite the internet sensation, but he told me he doesn't mind sharing some of the spotlight with Hannah-Montana.

There is nothing cuter than animals sleeping together all snuggled up! SOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUTE!

OMG!!!!!

They are MADE for each other, bless their hearts!!!!!!!!!

Hannah''s beautiful, El! I love her coloring!

Here''s one of her snuggling with her stuffed toy bunny before she was bonded with Otto. She would carry it around her pen and groom it, so it was pretty clear that she wanted a buddy!

Ohhhhhh! El, they're GORGEOUS!!! I wish I could pet them . . . they look sooooo soft! Need to get me a bunneh . . .

ETA: Just read about Hannah and her stuffed bunny . . . that is just TOOO CUTE!!! I <3 Hannah!!!

Thanks C-tek and Lorelei!

Zeo, thank you! Her color is fairly unusual and I had to post on a bunny forum that has a lot of breeders to find out what it was. Apparently she's sable chinchilla! It's a beautiful brownish grey and the hairs all have black tips. Her face markings are so cute too.

Thanks, Emm! You know how to take care of horses, so I think you'd do well with a bunny

I'm trying to convince everyone to get bunnies lately. And they are ridiculously soft! They're softer than any other animal I've ever petted.

Sorry it's blurry. Otto decided yesterday that he actually likes the kitty bed I bought him a year ago. Too bad it's not big enough for Hannah to squeeze her butt on there with him. I'll have to go out and get them another one.

Yep, we are DEFINITELY in cuteness overload-head exploding area!! They look so soft and smushy

Aww they''re so cute together!!!

They are soft and smushy, Lily! I love when they are enjoying pets so much that they turn into a bunny puddle on the floor.

wrong thread!

Sqweeeeeee!!! OMG Elro!

Super cuties together. I feel like the horsey thread people got a sneak preview of Hannah-banana
36.gif
But the pics of her WITH Otto. Too Cute.

True story, when I was little, lets say 10ish, I had a little mini lop silver bun too. Lived in my room, used his corner litter pan, didn''t chew wires, etc... good bun.

I couldn''t think of a name, so my dad came up with "Stew"...he was a boy, I figured OK, I have a "Stuart" for a bunneh. Stuart Little was a mouse, so I figured, not a bad name right??

Little did I know why all the adults found that name hysterical until I was old enough to catch the "Rabbit Stew" joke. Needless to say Stew had long since passed from natural causes after living a long happy spoiled life before I realized why it was so darn funny.

Hahahaha. That's hilarious. I'm totally going to be that parent who sneaks the jokes over the kid's heads.

There is a woman on a bunny forum who has a Breakfast and a Stir-fry. I love them! She also used to have a What (in addition to MJ and Ralph). Hilarious names (and her buns are beautiful). I'm a fan of the people names for animals, and clearly went for the palindromes with these two. I like Hannah in general, so I thought it was cute that the names kind of fit together. Her original name was Merlin, which is cute but I feel like it's a boy's name. We call her The Mer on occasion.

I've had gerbils for almost 20 years (don't have any at the moment though) and when I was younger we bred a few litters. The last litter was one little baby and the mom died right at weaning time, so we kept the little boy to live with his dad. Our neighbor's kid came over (he was around 3) and we asked if he wanted to name the baby. His first two choices were "mommy" and "daddy"
37.gif
. My mom suggested Thomas the Tank Engine and he loved that, so it stuck. We called him Tommy, but I thought it was so funny to call him by his full name. That little guy lived for 5 years too! (which is really long for a gerbil)

Stir-fry *snort* teehee hee. Totally appropriate for my sense of humor.

Very cute bunnies. Otto (great name by the way looks a lot like a bunny I had when I was a kid.

Thanks! I have to give DH the credit for the name since it was his idea. I think he subconsciously named our bunny after Otto the Orange, the Syracuse mascot. Lol

Round of applause for my friend Elro people!

If you all knew how much time she put into bonding these bunnehs you''d die! And it totally paid off, they are the cutest bunnehs EVAR! Way to go! xoxo

Awwwww they are SO CUTE TOGETHER! Hannah''s markings are gorgeous and Otto is such a handsome devil! The picture of Hannah laying with her stuffed bunny makes me want to cry it''s so cute! Not to mention the one of her and Otto laying together!

P.S. Not sure if I told you this but a good friend of mine has 3 bunnehs and she brings the youngest two over to my house on occasion. My cats are so intrigued and a little scared of them-it''s hilarious!
