Hi!
I'm trying to pick out a cushion cut (per fiancee preference) for a pave/halo setting. I;ve beendoing lots of reading and appreciate that cushions are widely variable and cannot be selected based on numbers alone. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts about this ASET diagram. Its a 1.9 carat VS2 H stone. From my understanding, this is a pretty reasonable ASET (in terms of maximizing top reflection?)
thanks!

I think it looks pretty good. Do you have any pictures of the stone (or a link)?

If I'm being really picky, not a big fan of the big green spot in the middle but overall still pretty nice.

Its' very good. Perfect? no. But VERY good.

Thanks so much for your input!
Ive attached a picture of the diamond along with a screengrab of the GIA report. thoughts? I see a crystal marked on the report that I cant see when I zoom in on the image...which means to me its not a big deal!

Verify it is eyeclean to your standards. Always a good precaution.

ah! thanks Gypsy! just saw that inclusion on the table when looking at the image of the diamond itself.
tough to pull the trigger without seeing it in hand!

It is. I agree! Fortunately, they have a great return policy, just in case you need it.

Just heard from the B2C folks that this is eye-clean, but it is not in-house but rather at one of their east coast partners. Any experience on how much faith I can place in that assessment?

As much as any reputable vendor's assessment. People have different eyesight. So keep that in mind. They have a great return policy if it is not eyeclean for you.

That's all we can say about any vendor.

So I picked up the diamond from the jeweler, set in a halo, and to be honest, it looks much more yellow than I was expecting, and more yellow than I remember when I saw the stone by itself. Its an H, and when I was shopping for stones I saw F, G, H side by side and couldnt really tell, and felt comfortable with the H; but in the setting it looks dark and yellow. Is it just me? The ASET looked good but i dont know...thoughts?

Are the stones surrounding the cushion a higher color? That could be why you think the cushion looks darker or more yellow. Post more photos of the completed ring.

Have you see it in daylight, and in normal right?

Jewelers light can have a weird affect on some stones and make them go dark, when normally and outside those lights they do not look dark at all. And that darkness can come across as tint.

What is the melee color?
