Its like the time my herb garden dried up & I didn''t notice because I was playing Farmville -- only awful/true.

That story is unbelievably heartbreaking and tragic. It horrifies me to think of how the baby must have suffered. Clearly the parents were not equipped to deal with the reality of a living child.

Wow.
How can a parent love a computer game more than their own child?? Beyond my scope of understanding.
How ''bout that last blib about the guy that died after playing a game for 5 days straight?? Crazy.
I didn''t realize gaming addiction could get so drastic.

This is incredibly sad. That poor baby. They never even named her.

This is just awful and disgusting. Aside: I really hate that prior to having my daughter I would shake my head (and fist) and just be heartbroken for that baby, but eventually I''d forget it. Now I never ever forget horrible stories involving children/babies. Try as hard as I can, these stories just pop into my head randomly and I just have to swallow the revulsion and utter horror I felt when I first read/saw the story. Darn these Mommy feelings.

Ugh. I''m a gamer. And I know how involved you can get. That said - REALITY TAKES PRECEDENCE PEOPLE!!! This makes me want to throttle the couple in question.

Wow, that''s horrible. I had no idea gaming could go so far

I can hazard a guess on how the disconnect happened; an online child can be shaped to be 'perfect' according to the parents' ideas of perfection, cannot vomit or eliminate on you, does not scream through the night, or day, or every waking hour for that matter, fight being breastfed or bottle-fed, does not need to be handled carefully, and can be 'turned off' when the parents have had enough.

Very disturbing. I would guess that they were overwhelmed with the shock of a real infant's needs, and used the game as an escape and a way to assuage their new parental instincts without dealing with the reality?

Something similar happened in Illinois a few years ago. It''s just absolutely tragic.

Why did they ever have a child to begin with if they didn''t want to actually take care of it. Disgusting.

I honestly feel as though that''s the worse thing in the world. I get sad when I think of a dog starving. After being around children, I can''t IMAGINE not comforting them if they are crying, let alone feeding them when they are 5mos old and HELPLESS. Some people are disgusting.

What a shame

Just the other day, I saw this show about S. Koreans'' obsession with gaming and how it''s like a national sport there.

My god, both those stories are....

There are some seriously sick f***s out there. Those poor, poor babies.

I don''t even know what to say. Those poor babies.
