I saw a diamond today with internal graining that could easily be seen with a 10x loupe. The diamond was SI1 but very clear. Would this diamond have what is know as strain? I mean anyone would be able to see the graining in this stone.
After looking at Gary Roskin's book Photomasters for Diamond Grading I think what I was seeing was polish lines all over the diamond. Can one of the experts tell me how to distinguish polish lines from internal or external graining?
