Intergem versus Atlantic Coast Gem, Mineral, & Jewelry Show?

Hi everyone,


Both of these shows are happening near to me but on the same weekend. I was wondering if there is anyone who has been to both who can explain the nuances between the two? I have read the websites and obviously the Atlantic Coast one will have more non-jewelry items but I'm not really clear on if one has a much larger or more varied selection of vendors. Personally I am looking to purchase some loose gemstones that are precision cut and a little bit unusual or not extremely common. If anyone can advise which would be the better place for this, I'd much appreciate it.

My undertanding of Intergem is that every show is different; I think there is a a list of the vendors that will be at each individual show on the website and that's a good indication of how varied the group will be.

For instance, I'm in NoVa and there is an Intergem show in Chantilly, VA four times a year and one down in National Harbor, DC (I think maybe only twice a year, but I could be making that up). I have refrained from attending the National Harbor show yet, because the list of vendors is smaller and from what I have heard at the Chantilly show- its still a growing show. Not worth the time and paid parking for me, just yet. But the Chantilly show is great; large, varied vendors, free parking and my local jewelers have a booth so they give away free tickets to get in. All around win. So I'd say it depends on the Intergem show.
