Interesting diamond article from the NYT

Thanks for the link! I thought this bit was fascinating especially in light of the Millenials thread “Instead, they were drawn to the idea that diamonds represent authenticity. The result was a new slogan, introduced last year by Alrosa and other diamond miners: “Real is rare. Real is a diamond.” ”

I think they may have to worry about the group after millennial, whatever they are called. My daughter doesn’t care for diamonds (the horror!!!). She doesn’t see the point, the cost and she says how can they be rare when everyone has one. Lol.
 
I don't believe for one second that their practices are any less shitty than those of African mines. That said, I will NEVER buy from them because it is owned by Putin. So, no.
