Ksinger, thank you for posting this. The CB and I talked about the estimating of crowd sizes after the Cubs parade celebrating the World Series win this fall and we found the optimism laughable. (Five million people! Making it potentially the seventh largest gathering in human history. Interesting... but not likely.) This morning I read wildly varying estimates on the size of the rally here in Chicago yesterday. CNN is reporting 125,000, the Tribune is still saying the 250,000 that they reported yesterday. Obviously different numbers. And obviously a lot of people. But I do prefer to have a(n) (more) accurate figure if for no other reason that I like to deal in facts.

Sorry for the Chicago-centric sidetrack ksinger, however your post made me immediately think of these two events.

It will be interesting to see what figures are ultimately given for both the inauguration and the marches.
