Did a search on this but didn''t find the specific answers I needed:
GemShield will not insure loose stones (just spoke to them).
I''ve read that Chubb might - if I can find an agent, and one who will sell a policy for just the stone.
I contacted JM and they said they *will* insure the loose stone, as long as it is intended to be mounted and I get a blurb from the jeweler attesting to same.
I have read that many jewelers will cover the stone while it is in their possession.
Will FedEx cover the stone in-transit (overnight, not ground)? Or should I get the JM policy now? Any caveats with JM?
