I had a lovely chat last night with Brian Gavin, and we are starting on the road to setting my pear. Thanks to Naughty Gypsy :naughty: I keep looking at the Josette. I sent BG some inspiration pics and one of the first setting styles he mention was josette or a version of it. We are going to create a slightly more vintage looking version with sapphires in honor of my mom. I want a bit more milgrain or beading or something and a few less diamonds  And of course bezels!!
I am figuring I am creating a heirloom here and it should be something special!
He is going away for 10 days but I am shipping my stone in a few days so he can play with it when he returns.
My question is about insuring the loose stone. Will Jewelers Mutual cover the stone while it is at BG? Lesley sort of said that it will be insured via USPS while it is getting to them, but not of course once they receive it. Actually,
right now we have it uninsured in the safe. Well actually it is covered for about 1500. In case of mysterious disappearance!

Any advice???

yes, Jewelers Mutual will insure a loose stone. I'd just take out the policy with them :))

Wait so BGD insurance wouldn't cover it? I feel like someone else posted a similar question and it was thought that the jeweler's insurance would cover it, along with the rest of their stock?
