So, I think the time has come to get my grandmother''s diamond set in a Kelege setting!!! Yay!!! I told my bf I would stay out of the process but I am kinda nervous about the whole transfer process the stone will have to go through and the fact that we don''t have it insured yet.
I know many of you have had stones mailed but I can''t help but be a little nervous. It has to go from the jeweler to Kelege back to the jeweler and then to my boyfriend. What service do they use? Do they insure it?
Then for my next question. The last appraisal for the diamond was in 1991!!! It has yet to be appraised since then and my bf wants to wait until it is set to get the whole thing appraised again? Is that the way to go or do we need a new updated appraisal before it gets set. I think we are going to go with CHUBB but it is the logistics we have yet to work out!!! As of now it is sitting in a dark and cold safe deposit box- not for long!!!
Thanks so much!! I am thrilled that the process in motion but I just wanted to clear this stuff up first!
