I was wondering if anyone can recommend a stationary activity center to entertain my 4 month old. Also, are there any other activities/toys that I can purchase to keep her busy?
Was it something she used alot? She currently spends most of her time in her swing, bouncy seat and activity mat. She''s getting bored with those things which isn''t good since I work from home.
Everyday! We got our money worth out of it for sure. Now she will even play around it (not sit in it but stand on the outside playing with the attached toys). I got a good deal when BRU had a coupon. She liked it much better than her jumper.
ETA: we probably stopped putting her in it around 9-10 months when she started pulling herself up. I think she felt trapped after that.
Amelia loves her fisher price rainforest jumperoo!
I love that not only can she plays with the toys, but she can jump and have fun! I thought jumping might hurt them but I couldn''t find anything that said it might be bad. Still, I put a pillow under her feet. The seat also spins around like an exersaucer.
We also add toys to it...some links, attachable animals and a suction cupped spinny thingie.
Thanks for all of the responses. It seems like the ratings are very high for the Rainforest jumparoo. The Evenflo exersaucer also has high ratings.
For those with the activity bar above did any of you have a problem with it hitting them in the face? I think she will like that as she LOVES the mobile on her swing.
Are there any other items that entertained your little ones for long periods of time?
No. It is high. Or my baby is short. Plus it is angled back. She loved batting that the stuff. I think you can take it off if it becomes a problem. I actually misspoke before I think she stopped using it at 8 months.
We had an exersaucer for our first and the rainforest jumper for our second and I think that the FP rainforest jumper was better and kept our second son happier for a longer time because of the range of movement and how much bouncier it is than the exersaucer. Hope this helped!
I''ve read good things (here and elsewhere) about the exersaucer and the rainforest jumperoo. When did your babies start using them? How often do you have to change the batteries? When I saw the exersaucer takes 12, my face did one of these.
I stuck Amelia in the jumperoo at 4 months. She didn''t quite know what she was doing but was fascinated nonetheless. She caught on very quickly though...it''s amazing how fast babies pick the stuff up.
I actually don''t know how many batteries the jumperoo takes...it''s still on the ones my friend gave it to me with...and that was 2.5 months ago. I''m really happy with it.
Kay, the batteries just died when we stopped using it so it got HEAVY use for 4 months or so. You can start using it at 4 months. Also use rechargable batteries.
DH and I went to BRU last evening (our coupon was going to expire
) and we compared the FP Rainforest jumparoo and the Evenflo Exersaucer. Both of them looked awesome and there were pros and cons for both.
They did have something called the Laugh and Learn Jumparoo by FP which was great. It is sort of a combination of the exersaucer and the Rainforest jumparoo. It is a jumparoo - but it has WAY more toys like the exersaucer and a toy bar that lights up. Another bonus is that it takes just 3 AA batteries. So we ended up with this one.
For those interested, it is listed on the Fisher Price website under their Laugh and Learn section. It is made exclusively by FP for BRU. I did find it interesting that I couldn''t find it on the BRU website so you have to go to FP for details.
Thanks again for all of your help!
