Inexperienced buyer seeking help - Is this a keeper?

Dear Forumites,

I recently bought a round diamond by the numbers and didn't get to see the ASET/IS images as the retailer doesn't provide those. I acknowledge that buying diamonds without ASET and IS images is frowned upon in this forum (and shame on me for still doing that) but I was given an excellent price for the diamond along with a 30 day hassle-free return.

I got it for $9600 and got it set in a pendant. Since it is at least $2-3K less than anywhere else with the similar specs, I am worried that it is missing out something major (perhaps cut quality?) which my inexperienced eyes can't spot. The date on the GIA certificate is of Jan 2015. So, it is unlikely to be a pre-owned diamond. Under certain conditions such as brightly lit, its center shows dark. However, it sparkles evenly when its in shade or is in poorly lit conditions. I am not sure if that's typical with all round diamonds.

Could you help me decide whether it's indeed a keeper? I'd very much appreciate your responses. Details and the actual images are below.

Details:
Carat: 1.5
Color: H
Clarity: VVS2
size: 7.38mm
Cut, Polish, Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: Faint
Table: 56%
Depth: 61.5%
crown angle: 34.5 (crown 15%)
Pavilion angle: 40.8 (pavilion 43%)
medium faceted, 3.5%

Has great numbers, looks good in the pendant, and yes, Towlkowsky ideal cut proportion stones can appear dark in certain light like spot lighting. But I still would always buy an idealscope and use it myself before committing to a stone if the vendor didn't provide one. Looks like you did well, though!

Ditto. Looks great.

Do the ASET or Ideal scope work only on loose diamonds? Since this one is already set in the pendant, would I be able to get its ASET/ideal scope images? Any tips on which of the two scopes to buy and from where?

Going by the specs it is a beautiful stone... :appl:

What would be the best way to test the diamond pendant with the ideal scope? Should the light be coming from behind the diamond or should it be coming through the pink sidewalls of the scope?
Here are a couple of pictures I took. I am not sure if either of these is supposed to bring out the problems with the light leakage, symmetry etc.

In this picture, I placed pendant on the countertop and covered it completely with the scope and took the picture through the lens.
Here I lifted it up so that light was hitting it at an angle from the side and then used the scope.

Are these pictures good enough to judge the diamond? Is there is a better method? Do you spot any problems so far?
