Wow, you''re right! That looks nothing like a BM dress... I might have to seriously think about doing that. Thanks for the suggestion.Date: 7/14/2008 12:44:17 AM

Mine retailed for more, but I paid less than 600 for mine from Netbride and it was MonCheri bridals.
I would advise ordering through Netbride they have amazing service and reviews and you can get a great dress for a great price. You will have to find your own seamstress, but for me it was worth it.
One caveat about inexpensive dresses (and this was true with mine as well) is that some of them don''t have the right structure in terms of boning etc. for the design so when you go wedding dress shopping try on some higher end gowns and make sure you study them in terms of quality of construction so you know what to look for in a less expensive dress. I had my seamstress add boning to mine as it still ended up less expensive then the other dresses I liked so for me it was still worth it.
ETA: I SWEAR TO GOD I AM AN IDIOT. Don''t buy an inexpensive wedding dress. Buy a Bridesmaid Dress in white or ivory. You can get a high end designer gown like an Amsale or Jim Hjelm or Lazaro or Vera Wang for what you are looking to spend. Better quality than an inexpensive wedding dress, and much better prices.
Seriously. Don''t tell the salons you are looking for a wedding dress. Tell them you want a BM gown, a very formal one and try on what they have. When it comes time to order... just order it in white.
They will upcharge you for a single white or off white gown... but even with the upcharge it will be totally worth it. There have been quite a few PSers who have bought BM gowns in white and it''s always just so amazing how they look!
Here''s MMM''s dress as an example. Seriously, would you have EVER thought it was a BM gown unless someone told you? It''s amazing!

Sophia Tolli...
She used to be the head designer for Maggie Sottero. My dress is a Tolli and it the craftsmenship is excellent.
I second this suggestion - Surfgirls dress was GORGEOUS!!! Also, don''t discount David''s if you find something you like - my dress came from there and was under $300 (I had a coupon).Date: 7/15/2008 4:31:31 PM

You can also try BMs dresses, which are way cheaper and often can be a bridal gown if in a champagne, ivory or white color... I just re posted a photo of my wedding dress on the bolero thread...It was a BM dress in champagne that I made into a wedding gown. I think it was $250.
