Has anyone had a primarily "western" wedding that paid some homage to another culture's wedding traditions? How did you incorporate it? How would you, if you were to?

We had a tea ceremony in the morning followed by a Western-style church ceremony in the afternoon. The reception was a Chinese-style banquet.

But maybe you meant how to incorporate another culture's traditions into the ceremony itself?

I really don't have preconceived notions about how it would play out :)
Tea ceremony sounds lovely!

For my husband's family, the tea ceremony was the "real" wedding. After they made an offering to their ancestors, we served tea to the elder members of our families. I felt very welcomed into his family afterwards. :))

What culture are thinking about incorporating?

Well I personally am wanting to incorporate South Asian traditions, but I was wondering how others worked it into the "flow" of their event.
