I''ve found a diamond that is the right size and right price, F/VS2 ideal cut. Looking at the certificate, the only inclusions marked are in the center of the table. Does this matter on a VS2, or would this be something more concerning on an SI1 or SI2?

I don''t have any experience actually looking at a diamond this size, either with the naked eye or with magnification...hopefully I''ll have time to get out and correct that issue sometime soon. :)

Thanks.

Have you seen the stone and can you see the inclusions? Or are you just basing your question from info off the certificate? I''m not sure anyone can help you without more info. But if you have a budget and requirements you can get suggestions for stones here and you might be able to find something based on photos, trusted vendors, numbers and about 500 pairs of eyes!

The certificates only maps out where an inclusion is located so you can identify it yourself.

This is why I like VS1. I don''t know the answer to your question, though. Good luck with it.

You cannot judge clarity/ eyecleanliness by the plotting diagram on the grading report. You need the advice and opinion of a trusted vendor, and ultimately your own eyes, as to whether the inclusions present themselves readily to the eye in reality. With a VS2 in the usual sort of size, this could be unlikely anway. Check with the vendor if this diamond matches your comfort level of 'eyecleanliness.' What size is the diamond?

Absolutely, Lorelei.

Thanks Paul!
