When buying a VS2 diamond do I need to pay attention to certain types of inclusions on the AGS or GIA report more than others? Will some have a better option of begin seen? Or being a VS2 there is nothing to worry about as long as its eye clean?

Thanks

I think it depends on the size of the stone as far as eye clean goes. As far as types, if I''m buying from a trusted source, I wouldn''t care about the types in a VS2 stone.

Which lab graded it? One labs VS2 may very well be another labs SI1 or even SI2. If it''s anything other than GIA/AGS, I''d have it appraised first to make sure the clarity is as stated.

It is a VS2 from AGS, 1.02 carat.

It is still important to pay attention to the type of inclusions within a VS-2 clarity diamond, as well as the location, size, extent and visibility of the inclusions... What is the primary grade maker responsible for the clarity grade? An extensive feather may not be preferable to a few diamond crystals, etc. Can you post a copy of the plotting diagram from the lab report and/or a few clarity photographs?

Ditto Todd. Also eyesights vary and clarity is graded face up so sometimes it is possible you might see something from the top or side view, so always best to make your expectations clear and ask the seller to inspect the diamond for you. Also the size of the diamond comes into play, a with a monster 4 ct VS2 the chances increase you might see something!
