The inclusion plot for my new AGS stone has some red lines that reaches the edge of the diagram. Does this mean the inclusion breaks the surface? I can't tell from the cert if they are needles are features. Also how do I tell if the inclusion is breaking the girdle? Since the stone has already been set, will the appraiser be able to see the inclusions if they are beneath a prong? The stone is a VS2.

Red marks are internal.

RE: Breaking the surface. Probably they don''t in a VS -2 graded by AGS. But they "might".

The answer to your questions I think would be what the appraiser you selected sees in his examination.

In that the stone is set, he might, but he might not as well. If the plot is complete, and the inclusions are beneath a prong, he may not be able to see them or the location, if it breaks the surface etc.

Ask the appraiser these questions, as he ( or she ) will be the one to see them, and hopefully he''ll tell you if he feels they are an issue.
