Sorry for the reply, I couldn''t seem upload 2 photos to the same post.

Which ring will sparkle more, something like the white flash, with the diamond elevated above the circle, held in with prongs, or something like the Tiffany where its a prongless piece and the girdle of the diamond is at the same level as the circle of smaller diamonds going around it.

TIA!

I dont know which one sparkles more, but I like the one without prongs better

if you have an ideal cut diamond- regardless it will sparkle no matter what you choose. but for the setting it depends on what kind of look you want, I like the frame of the bezel around the center, but if you want an illusion to make your diamond look much larger, then go for the prong.

I am having a new 3 stone ring made and my jeweler said that diamonds sparkle more with prong settings as they let more light enter vs a bezel setting. I love the look of a bezel setting though.

Regards,
Lisa

I love the first one

I love the prongless ring...that would be my future ring!

My ring has four double prongs, which are so delicate they can hardly be seen. I think either will have an equal amount of sparkle, depending on the cut of the diamond. Are you trying to replicate the Tiffany ring that you posted?

With a well-cut diamond, it won''t matter.

Personally, I prefer the first setting.

I prefer the look of the 1st one.

Both are gorgeous, but I prefer a bezel halo.

I prefer the first setting better as something about the prongs in the second just turn me off of the ring.

without prongs

I''m not sure about sparkle, but I like the prongless look much better. It looks cleaner and/or smoother for smoe reason.
