Well...I guess that time has come....I know the GF really likes the Tacori with the paves on the sidetacori_8.jpg

I know she also wants round or cushion....I live in Houston and know whiteflash is just down the street. Would I get the best deal just going to them vs a wholesaler. my budget is 8-10k. I am looking anywhere from 1.2-1.5 diamond size. she has very small hands. I'm thinking her ring size will be 4-4.5 maybe in the 3's. I'm a newbie and don't know much so I figure I'd ask for your help. Anybody have any thoughts on how I should go about this. Buy the setting at the best price and take it to a wholesaler to find a diamond, buy it all at whiteflash or another local jeweler, etc...

Pretty ring. Buy everything at White Flash, no fuss and muss insuring the diamond while its being set etc. There is no true "wholesale" to the public, that's just a sales/marketing scam. Also consider a visit to Brian Gavin in Houston and see for yourself what their branded ideal cut diamond looks like in real life.

White Flash has the better selection in your range. How about either:

A non-eyeclean but high color G/SI2 for $8982

Or an I color, eyeclean VS2 for $$8488

WF carries Tacori but you'll likely save a lot of money of you choose one of WF's halo settings that approximates the look of the Tacori. Plus you'll get better quality melee with the WF setting.

Great information!
