The above this the link to the diamond I just bought, what do you guys think? Do you think the bubble is visible to the eye? I didn''t get this yet, will be getting it in 10 days. I am scared and excited at the same time. Would like someone to help me figure out if I made a good choice. I am worry about those bubbles. Thank you so much for taking time to read this.

It is usually a good idea to put a stone on hold and ask about it before buying, for future reference.

However, the logical thing would be to ask JA to look at the stone and determine if it is eye clean from all directions. Did you do that?

I agree that JA should be asked if it''s eyeclean...but based on that picture I doubt it will be. If you have time, I would suggest maybe dropping a bit in color to get a better clarity, or at least a cleaner Si2. That one has a lot of stuff in the picture that is probably visible to the eye...

thanks for the reply, I did talk to the gem guy and he said that it depends, some people might have such a good eye and can see it and others might not see it at all. Do you think I made a wrong choice?

That to me is a shady answer and says it''s probably not eyeclean. I personally would keep looking for something where you can''t see the inclusions. As I said before there is no need to get a D color if $ is a concern.

Since it is clear bubbles, I was thinking it might blend in with the lighting of the diamond since it is also a D in color.

well, I can also return it if I don''t like it, but I have been looking at it over and over. He also said that diamond is under a scope x8.

thats beautiful! but is that under a scope?

Then it''s up to you of course. We are simply giving opinions which is what you asked for, no?

Yes it is under magnification. But it will be much cleaner and the cut is better than the one you selected. The color is lower though, but in an ideal round it will be beautiful.

I am just scared that I can see it clearly. But if it blends with the lighting of the diamond I would be happy since it is my engagement ring. I agree with you on the one you picked, I dont know what I was thinking when picking this diamond just thought it will blend well, since it is clear inclusion.

It will certainly be less noticeable, but probably will be noticeable. Any chance you can call and cancel your order and pick another one instead? You don''t sound so sure of your choice and THAT will bother you.

I think my boyfriend is sick of me looking at it so many times and asking everyone even a 7 year old. But he said we can''t do anything until it gets here. Have you see anyone with this type of diamond before?

Look, you really need to see it in person to see if it bothers you. I have certainly seen diamonds with lots of inclusions before, and it isn''t pretty. You at least have the fact that it''s a nice cut on your side, which will help immensely. But considering that it is already bothering you, I almost guarantee it''s the first thing you will notice now unfortunately...

SI2''s vary a lot. Be sure you look at it from the sides if the setting is going to show the sides of the stone. Grading is done from the top only. Some people love a larger stone and don''t care about clarity, but I''d personally rather go to a little smaller F-H color and a higher clarity if it was me.

now I might just exchange it for something else. I really don''t know too much about diamonds and I am learning as I type this. I just hope when I see it in person, I will love it since it is my engagement ring, I would feel bad if I had to return it. Since it is under a scope, and it is so close up, I just thought that is the only way to see those inclusions and from the far, it will just blend in. Sheesh, wish I found this site before I bought it.

Don''t beat yourself up. But if it isn''t coming for 10 days I don''t understand why you can''t try to switch it out now?

And anyway, you still did a lot better than most people who don''t find PS prior to buying. They all too often end up with frozen spit diamonds from Zales...

what about a princess cut. I am looking at a few now and how are the inclusion on those? Is it a better buy?

Huh? It's not really a better buy...inclusions will be noticeable on a princess too. Why don't you just get what you want and get a different round stone? Princesses are somewhat cheaper per carat but at the same time they face up (i.e., look) a lot smaller than a round of the same size...so it all about evens out in the end.

That stone would be too icky for me.

what about this stone?

sorry that stone isn''t good enough for you... I''m on here to get help. sheesh

Before we can help you, you need to decide what shape you want since somparing a princess to a round to a cushion is comparing apples to bananas to oranges.

See this is really hard for me. I just want the right ring. Color, CT, and Clarity is also important to me.

Tell us what shape you want and we will help you out!

I am looking at a cushion, what kind of setting would look good with this?

Gorri, we are trying to help you out, but it''s confusing to us because we can''t help you without knowing what you want and what you can do. You said you can''t stop the original stone from coming to you, but haven''t said why, so we can''t really help you until we have more information...I know it''s a hard purchase, but we just can''t help without more background information...

Wait, now you want a cushion? We still don''t know if you are stuck with JA still or if you can go with another vendor...?
