I am so sorry to hear this! My mother had breast cancer and 8 rounds of chemo when I was 13. It was a very difficult time, but having family and friends around makes all the difference. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Lots of dust and positive thoughts.
 
I keeping my fingerings crossed and throwing up prayers, and sprinkling healing dust all over your posting...

I hope that she is fine.

I''m a little late seeing this thread - I hope the surgery went very smoothly yesterday, and that they will be able to treat her well with surgery, chemo, radiation. How awful to have done everything you can to eradicate the disease or any risk of further cancer recurrence, and end up with it already having spread. Hopefully she overcomes this hurdle too, and will have many more quality years to spend with her family.

Surgery went well. We are waiting on Pathology. Hopefully this will buy her some more time. At this point that is the best we can hope for.

I am so sorry. My mother died from breast cancer, and it always breaks my heart when I find out someone else has to go through this. My thoughts are with you and your entire family.

ILC: I am so sorry to hear this. And have no real-life experience with cancer to give you reassurance, hope or perspective. But I CAN say, that I believe in miracles. And YOU were a big part of my getting through to mine.

It has been a year since my mom was diagnosed. She had surgery and several kinds of chemo and is now cancer free. I pray for a similar result for your SIL.
