i know people vary so some of you may do NY resolutions and some may not. :wavey: I thought some of these NY hashtags were quite original. So it made me wonder what a PSer NY resolution in five words would be? #BlingInTheNewYear. :appl: :appl: :appl:

I don't do new year's resolutions. I suppose it's nice that people want to make positive change, but they rarely stick around long-term it seems.
Anyway, wishing everyone a happy, healthy, prosperous new year =)

My NY's resolution is to stop writing 2015 on things and start writing 2016 on things.

I think it is nice to make a positive change, but agree it rarely sticks. :wall:

Momhappy, I hope you have a wonderful new year! :wavey:

That's a hard one Kenny! I have been guilty before of writing the old year all the way into March of the new year. That's a good one to get into the habit of though. Happy 2016!

Every time I have tried to make a New Years Resolution I have failed at it miserably. So this year I am trying a slightly different approach...
My resolutions are:

1. Put on more weight
2. Become poorer
3. Eat terrible food

I look forward to failing these miserably as well!

Haha perfect.

I don't make resolutions either as I try all year to be the "best that I can be" so New Year's resolutions never held any interest for me.

Love this

"Be better at everything" sounds completely stressful and overwhelming. :(

The earth goes in a circle around the sun.
When it gets to one super-duper magic point everyone goes bonkers. :twirl:

Well, not everyone.
Other cultures observe other super-duper magic points.

Why?

Because we're bored. That's why.

Think about it; doesn't boredom explain 95% of all first-world human activities?

Here's my five word resolution;

Ignore all Kenny's leading questions.

Actually, I made one, and I never make resolutions...

Start flossing again. I was so disciplined with it for the longest time and then just stopped.

My teeth hurt more and more each day and I *know* how important it is to floss.

Since I notice in the morning lately for some reason I am feeling like I have no time, I will start doing it at night.

CJ - I buy the disposable flossers from the drug store that I can take with me. It makes it much easier (imo) to floss.

I like making new years resolutions. I always fail, but I still like to do it.

Boredom certainly explains everything I post.

I have goals for the year but they aren't resolutions.

I hope to have my house painted, new furniture in a few rooms.
I want to go camping more often.
I hope that I can eat more fish. This means I need to send my husband and son fishing more often. I also want to eat more wild game. I am just sick of mass produced meat and what it is doing to everyone's health.
I need to put in a new permaculture landscape.
I want to feel less anxiety.
For right now, I need to find energy in this cold weather. :D

I did not make any resolution as such, just a list of priorities, with health and maintenance of the house placed above non-essential spendings such as jewellery.

DK :))

Thanks telephone, my husband swears by those...

I prefer regular floss, although I do see the appeal of the picks, and have at times grabbed one when I needed a quick flossing.

But maybe the way for me to think of it is if I am ever feeling lazy I can think about the picks...this may help me develop the habit back to where it was.

My sister is the only person I know to stick with her new years resolutions.

Her strategy is to set the bar incredibly low.

One year it was to take her vitamins. She bought a Costco size of gummy multi vitamins and she was all set.

Last year it was to floss.

This year she wants to change the sheets once per week.

So all of those things that really take no time, but you don't want to do. Every year she gets a bit closer to being a responsible adult.

I just want 2016 to be better for me. So far it isn't doing so well.
