Are SI2 visible to the naked eye? What do you think about this diamond. The feather is directly in the middle.

I won''t comment on the specs, but it is possible to get an eye clean SI2 - I have one! I have twinning wisps and have trouble ssing them even with the loup.

I''m sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in on the specs very soon.

Thanks.. I did call them to ask but she couldnt tell me on the phone until next week and we are looking to do something by tomoorw

Run HCA and see what you come up with. In te rounds, when you have an ideal cut, it masks the inclusions. Do you have a link to the stone? JA usually has pics with the actual stone and you can pretty much tell if it''s not eye clean.

I ran HCA...

Factor Grade
Light Return Very Good
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Very Good
Spread
or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 1.9 - Excellent
within TIC range

The cut specs look great, but I''m not sure that stone is going to be eye clean with a large black inclusion. I''d call up JA and ask them to eye ball it for you.

This 1.72 I/SI looks nice and has a better shot at being eye clean. It''s also quite a bit cheaper and won''t face up much smaller.

My best friend has a J SI2 marquise stone and it is a beautiful stone. I would ask them for pictures. My own experience is that the bigger the round, the more noticeable the inclusions are. I remember looking at a D SI2 1 carat and it had a ton of very visible inclusions.

My input - those inclusions are very visible to me...but that is a close up pic. How it would look in normal lighting in person though....not sure? Can you see it in person before purchasing?

Thank you soo much for your imput. Cant see it in person because its on james allen website and the diamond specialist was not in until monday to see if it was eye clean or not the lady on the phone told me.

someone posted not too long ago about getting a SI2 that had a big inclusion. they were told it was eye clean, but the pictures clearly showed it wasn''t. I would be sure to get some type of guarantee if they do tell you it is eye clean before purchasing. the pictures clearly show the inclusions, so i doubt they will say it is.

We found a 2.0 at a B&M for 19,000 and its an E ideal cut rates Ideal on Polish and SYmmetry and table is 56%.... its an SI2 but because its ideal cut you can not see the inclusions. It is beautiful and we are very happy... thank you very much for all your inputs...I will be sure to post pics after the ring is here... we got tacori setting HT2250 so it takes 4 weeks before it comes in. THANK YOU
