First of all I love this site!

Second this is my first post.

My question is simple I beleive... I have read and understand the cut grading standards and using tools such as HCA cut advisor. However, none of these mention L/W ratio. I am looking for an Ideal cut round stone and one of interest to me meets the criteria for consideration but it has a length of 6.72 and a width of 6.65. Is this of concern to anyone?

Thanks,

Wile E. Coyote

should be ok.

Welcome!

That is fine, we tend to refer to it more as the diameter measurements, and the figures given are not a problem.

Well thank you JulieN and Lorelei for your qucik replies. I was hoping for a few more opinions but based on your input I went ahaead and bougth the stone in question. The stone is a GIA triple EX and the total proportions were:

Color: G
Carat: 1.10
Size: 6.72 x 6.65 x 4.10
Table: 54
Crown angle: 34
crown depth: 15
pavilion angle: 40.8
pavilion depth: 43
total depth: 61.3

I was just worried about the length to width ratio (diameter) as Lorelei mentions.

Those diameter measurements, and any within/up to .10 are fine. That should be a beautiful stone!
