I ordered my engagement ring from WF on Monday... and, I''m now patiently waiting...

I just realized that I am sitting here, in my office, holding a ruler up to my finger, imagining what my 6.04mm diamond will look like on my finger!!!

Considering that my ring finger appears to be only around 2cm long between knuckles, I think it''s going to look great!!!

haha.

Just wanted to share - please tell me I''m not crazy!

Ha, ha. I read a post where some ladies actually cut out on paper the size of their diamond. So now...get out your scissors and your paper and start cutting out your diamond.

I confess I am one of those ladies you''re referring to!!! I cut out the circles in multiple ct sizes and double sided taped them to my finger so get a sense of size!

If you can get your hands on one of those little Tiffany diamond booklets they have color photos of diamonds depicted in different sizes. Nice heavy paper too. Much much fun!

When I see all these cute photos of people with their rings on their dog or cat''s noses I just think--not with my pooch! That thing''d be eaten up SO FAST!

Can you imagine the call to the insurance company... "Um, hi, this is [insert my real name here] and I need to make a claim. You see, I was taking pictures of my new diamond ring precariously balanced on my dog''s nose and with one quick swipe of his big pink tongue it was gone. -- Hello? Hello? I''m afraid to admit but I have been guilty of also doing the diamond paper cut out. This was all before my bf bought the loose stone so I just couldn''t help myself. I know I know I need help

This is a funny thread! I am definitely guilty of the paper cut outs. We are all so crazy on pricescope. I hope my fiance never finds out about my ring obsession. I did all of this when he was away. When I was deciding on a type of ring, three stone, split shank, etc. I would cut out the center diamond and the side parts and tape them together on my finger!! It was pretty crude, but it did give me an estimate.

But, it still wasn''t a good enough visual...so I took this a step farther. I still wasn''t sure if I wanted a slightly larger diamond and get a plain cheap setting or to spend more $ on a split shank style, so I ordered a couple of different sized CZ''s from wink jones and put them on my hand to see the visual difference. They are very pretty by the way!! In the end, I went with the smaller diamond, more $ on the setting!! I love my ring style, but I''m sure DSS will sit in eventually. In the mean time, I have no idea what to do with the CZ''s I purchased. They just sit in a drawer.

One nutty thing I do is when PSer post hand pics, if the hand is more or less lifesize, I put my hand over it to see how big their rock would look on me=P
