I''m new (kinda), I''m excited, and I can''t sleep :)

Fellow PS’rs,

I got hooked (I’m a confessing Lurker) on this site July of 2005 when I started researching for my eventual upgrade. My browsing started out innocently: I wanted to know if I should shop for diamonds in the Caribbean - - but then before I knew it, one night of reading PS wasn’t enough. Pretty soon I was logging on at work and then emailing pictures to my husband. I knew I was hooked when I starting hiding my new obsession from my friends!

Now it’s time for me to come into the open. I’ve been reading, I’ve been learning, I finally got a thumbs up from my husband – and I have finally shopped!!
I also did this completely on good faith based upon everything I’ve come to learn from Pricescope. (I did not have the diamond sent to me for approval, I am letting Whiteflash be my eyes and I can say that I would never, EVER consider a purchase like this were it not for Pricescope -- and confidence and show of support I read regularly on this forum. )

That said - My wedding anniversary (32yrs) is this month and here’s where I’m headed.

The setting: A Tiffany style with a half round shank instead of knife-edge (and I hope I''ve attached this image appropriately.)

That is a great setting, CE! Yes, ours is the 30th anniversary. I just left my diamond with a jeweler on Friday to set in a solitaire. They are ordering a Memoire diamond wedding/anniversary band for me, so I guess I''ll wait and pick them up at the same time. Are you able to use your original band with this new ring or will you also get a new band?
