I''m in the "freaks me out" corner.

I have long lashes anyway, but they are thin and you can''t tell how long they are until I put mascara on them, but I would never put anything like this on my eyes. One, I am prone to milia underneath my eyes and HATE that because it''s permanent. I could never wear contacts, thank god I don''t need them, because they annoy me. My eyes and skin are uber sensitive. Beyond the safety concerns, it just reeks of greedy pharmaceutical marketing to our vanity...on a long term basis. Lord knows, our pharmaceutical companies love it when they get you hooked for life. Steady revenue stream. $100 bucks a month???

Maybe I''m just cranky because the Broncos beat the Chargers. ::::shrugs::::::

I''m obsessed with long eyelashes (mine are short, thick and hard to curl)... I used to regularly get eyelash extensions but I was losing too many of my natural eyelashes along with the extensions.

I would try Latisse but the side effects also really freak me out. Turning your iris a different color?!?

I''m interested in the Skinactives someone else mentioned but I''ve never heard of this brand and I worry a little about the safety?

I am using the generic version bought from an Overseas chemist 3 bottles for $30.00. It came sealed and safely packaged. I have hazel eyes so was a little scared about the potential darkening but use it VERY carefully. One drop in the bottle then get a fine eyeliner bush dip it in then shake and put it just on my upper lash line. Nothing on the bottom and the rest on my eyebrows. In 6 weeks eyebrows dramatically thicker and the beginnings of long long thick lashes.
I''m hooked.

I don''t know anything about Latisse, but I use the Brow and Lash Serum with KGF from skinactives.com and it''s amazing! Sometimes when I''m washing my eye makeup off it freaks me out because my lashes are SO thick they feel like wires! And they''ve gotten a loooooot longer. I actually don''t even wear eyeliner anymore, because my eyelashes are so thick and long now! O, and it''s $9.50.

ETA - and no side effects.

I bought it and it arrived today.. I''m going to start using it today. I have horribly thin lashes and I can''t wait to see results.. !!! How long before you started seeing results?

Ooh! I don''t remember exactly...maybe 3-4 weeks? For me, it was one of those ''nothing...nothing...WOAH my lashes are really long and thick!!'' kind of progressions.


So wait for it...wait for it...

then BAM!

I know it''s only been about a week, but do you notice a difference yet?

I believe I am.. it takes your natural lashes 6-8 weeks to grow in at full length, but I think they are longer. I am looking forward to seeing what one month will bring. I am really hoping for a thicker lash line

I have been using mine for about a week now twice a day every day and I swear my lashes look thicker already, so do my eye brows but maybe I am imagining things

I did have a consult and got a prescription but haven''t filled it. The doctor I met with says he has mannnnny patients who love it - no problems at all. One women in his office has been using it for a year and her lashes are soooo beautiful now. She said hasn''t had any problems whatsoever.

I''ve been using the Skinactives brow and lash serum for maybe two months now. At first I thought I might be imagining things, but now I''m sure -- my eyelashes are definitely, noticeably longer!

It''s not doing much for my brows,

probably because I just don''t have a lot of follicles up there,

I haven''t given up yet!

YAY!!! That's great, isn't it the best?

And don't give up on your brows - mine were pretty wimpy but they've filled out a lot, slowly but surely. Although, I've been using it for over a year now. But there is hope, even for the sparsest of brows.
