finding THE diamond... I was hoping you guys could help me out?

Here's what I'm looking for:
Round Brilliant
Cost = $4000-4750 (Diamond Only)
Carat = .75-.85
Cut = Ideal
Color = E-F
Clarity = VS1-VS2
Polish = EX
Symmetry = EX
Table = 53%-58%
Crown Angle = 34-34.7
Crown Height = 14.3-16.3
Pav Depth = 42.8-43.2
Girdle = Thin-Med
Total Depth 58.7-62.3
Flourescence = None-Faint

I have been to USA Certed, Abazias, Union Diamond, Mondera, Blue Nile, WhiteFlash, Good Old Gold, Jewerly Zone, and Dirt Cheap Diamonds.

I found that Blue Nile had the best selection (of diamonds I am looking for) and nicest website. Yes, I know that Blue Nile charges a bit more. That's why I was hoping to find comparable diamonds elsewhere.

Also, any tips or suggestions?

Thanks!

Interesting diamond...

What are those red spots in the white hearts on the Hearts & Arrows picture? Are those the clouds and crystals?

Stewbie, are you on a time schedule? If you are, then you may have to massage your parameters a bit. Rough is really, really tough to come by right now, and stones in the ranges you listed are scarce.

I'm find that dropping to an SI1 expands the possibilities a bit in your range. Don't know if that's a consideration for you or not, but thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

Once you get into SI1, the diamond is not always "eye clean," correct?

True, but you CAN work with a vendor to confirm eye-cleanliness...and I have seen alot of SI's on here that are eye-clean...mine is one of them. SI1 with white, wispy inclusions and I can't see a thing with the eye or the loupe! SI1's can be great values...if you look for one with a very clean looking plot diagram online, call up the vendor and find out what they think.

It's not ALWAYS eye-clean, but it's certainly not needle-in-a-haystack to find the eyeclean ones.....there PLENTY of eye-clean SI1 stones.

All you have to do is ask your vendor if it's eyeclean....if he says yes, you're good to go. Heck, mine is an SI2 and it's completely eyeclean!
