I''m flattered!

Hi all... I wasn''t really sure which forum this should sit in... but rockytalky seems to be a good all-rounder...

I just received an email from my jeweler (Joakim @ Delphi Diamonds in Sydney, Australia) saying that someone had gone to him after seeing my ring posted on pricescope. They showed him the photos that I had posted of my ring and now my jeweler wants a copy to develop and put up in his office! He also thanked me for the kind things I said about his business and he was thrilled for all the great responses I got from the PS community.

I''m so flattered for 2 reasons:
a) That someone liked my ring so much that they approached the jeweller with my photos.
b) That my jeweler has requested copies of the photos to display in his office

At first I was a bit embarrassed to be ''caught out'' on here indulging in my secret little hobby... but then I felt really flattered.

If it was you who approached Delphi Diamonds, lemme know - you might have even scored me a discount on my wedding band.... who knows. haha!

Thanks guys, I was quite stunned (I had to read the email twice!)... especially considering that I''m in Australia... I guess there''s a bigger Aussie community on PS than I realized... I''m just so intrigued - I wanna know who it was!

btw custom - I posted on your thread but I''ll say it again, I love the ring you had made for your girl! Makes me wanna get milgrain (yours is so delicate and lovely!)....ahh there''s always time for that I guess.

I saw that! That''s a great price for platinum - well done! Mine was roughly the same price, however mine was white gold... I think platinum was around 700 more...so yeah, you got a deal

It''s great that customers in Aus are getting better taste and requesting nicer quality stuff thanks to PS and smart shoppers like you..

My boyfriend and I have started looking at engagement rings and we found the Delphi Diamonds site. The examples of their work look good and I was particularly impressed by your ring, claireabelle. Are you able to give me any feedback on how you found them to deal with? Did you get the diamond from them too? Were their prices reasonable? Silly me managed to fall for a gorgeous ring we looked at last week in one of Sydney''s many expensive jewellers so I am hoping we can find someone that do something similar for us for less. I''ve gathered from your other thread that you had a good experience but since this is such a big purchase I want to make sure I have all the details straight!

That is flattering to have a poster of your ring on a jewelers wall! And your ring deserves it, too. I don''t know if I saw it or commented on it before, but I just have to say now that it is STUNNING! I love halos but only if the center stone is not so large that it causes the circumference of the halo to cover more than 2/3 of the finger. Yours is a classy size! And of course the high color/clarity are quite appealing as well! Cushions are my favorite. Yours is just perfect in every way.
