Hello, first of all, thank God for letting me discover this forum. ( please forgive me for my weak English)
I started shopping for the engagement ring about two months ago.
I tried jewelry exchange in NJ, ebay and hundred of malls stores. I found that in my budget I can only get something with no certificate and yellow ugly diamond on simple gold band or enhanced clarity diamond. I don''t have to tell you that all certificates provided by jewelry stores were EGL and every each salesperson was telling me that this is the best appraisal ever, I wont find better deal than this, some wanted sell me extra clean yellowish diamond without any certificate at all. I did some research on my own online and I was shocked how many lies they were telling me.
After all this drama I''m simply afraid to buy anything. My fiance already proposed with the ring he already returned because of the color. I have some diamond jewelry and everything looked so much whiter than the diamond he bought. He simply doesn''t see any different. That''s why I need to choose another diamond but I didn''t realize how hard and stresfull this might be. 2 months and nothing, we are engaged and I can''t even show the ring and my future husband started to worry that I''m to picky and don''t know what I want.
But I do! I want white, eyeclean round diamond, at least 1 carat ( of course I wish I could afford huge rock but I''m realistic also), with good certificate and trade policy.
I simply want to feel confident and happy with my purchase and don''t look back and wonder...
I really need your help

Hi szkrabek welcome to pricescope :)

I am sure you will be able to find a beautiful diamond that you love and we can help you pick the better options as well.

Up the top of this forum there is a search function that allows you to search the inventories of the Pricescope vendors so you can search shape, size within your budget and see what comes up :).

Is there a particular shape you had in mind?

I forgot to tell that my budget is 4 thousand, not much

Thank you Deelight. Round shape would be perfect for me

Would you consider a diamond just under a carat? Its the best way to maximize your budget and get you a lovely white stone.

It''s a 6 mm round which is lovely.

$4k is nothing to sneeze at! Is this for the diamond only?
As Dee and Gypsy have suggested, you may have to go a lil under a carat, but the truth is once you reach around the 0.75-0.8 mark there is a minimal sight difference to 1ct.
Follow some of the links the other ladies have suggested, as you will definately make your budget go further if you''re open to shopping online.
You can be soo confident that if you choose one of the PS recommended vendors, you won''t have to deal with all the lies etc that jewelers have been feeding you - I know that kind of thing can be exhausting!
good luck, you have started on the right path by asking for help here
