Hello all, like so many others I need to start by thanking everyone for their knowledge & time. My fiancee (still sounds a little weird) learned so much on this website & I''ve sure enjoyed checking out everyone''s beautiful bling.

He did such a fabulous job picking out a ring that is absolutely perfect for me, I couldn''t have asked for anything more!! I am just struggling with what type of band to put with it. I would love any suggestions you could provide. I''ve attached some pictures I did my best but I still have some learning to do .

Also, I noticed that the prongs are closer together on one side than the other. We took it back to the jeweler that set the stone and he said it was a problem with the setting itself & there was nothing that could be done. Like so many places these days, the company that he bought the setting from has gone out of business so we have no recourse that way. I don''t think it is a HUGE deal, no one has noticed except me but if it could be fixed I would obviously like to do so.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Well, congrats! It is a beautiful ring and diamond! But I think the jeweler is right. The prongs are very substantial and are casted as part of the ring, so I don''t think anyone would be able to fix that problem, but I''m going to bet you that you are the only one who will notice. ;)

Ditto
A beautiful diamond in a stunning ring - enjoy.
Re. the prongs - its easy to forget that the photos are highly magnified so that what you see re. prongs in a photo is much harder to see when anyone else looks at your ring with the eye - the eye lwill iterally gets drawn to the sparkle of your centre diamond assuming that you take care to keep it clean of course!

Ditto the above posters on the prong issue

The best way to go about finding a band is to just try anything and everything on! You may be surprised at what you like (and don''t like) as a pair.

I think that Beverley K would be a great place to start looking for ideas, as her rings would make a lovely complement to your engagement ring

You can browse designs on her site or at Pearlman''s, among other places.

A beautiful ring, and everyone is right, they probably wont be able to fix the prong work without some major reconstruction. Don''t worry about it. No one but you will notice w/ the sparkly diamond there!

As for bands, you just have to try on a bunch. See what you like up against it!

Congrats on your engagement!!!

I love your setting! And it does look like the prong issue is with the setting itself, although i wonder if some judicious shaving of all 4 prongs could fix the issue? But then again, it might cause more problems. Meh. Ditto the fact that no one else would likely ever notice!

As for bands - the first thing I thought of was this BevK band! Definitely go and try on a bajillion first though!

Ohhhh, gecko...Those are PERFECT.

And there aren''t any diamonds sticking out to saw through the e-ring itself.

GORGEOUS! The e-ring is so pretty in profile. Love it! Congrats!

I love your ring! It''s really beautiful. I can''t see anything wrong with the prongs and I think either of those Beverly K bands would look perfect.I love the look.

Congrats on your engagement! And post more pics please!

Ditto all of this!

Thank you guys. You all made me feel much better about my prong issue :). Also I love both of those bands and will definitely have to find a store that carries them so that I can go on a try on spree. Thank you again

Beautiful ring! Love the bands gecko posted! My ering is similar to yours and I wear a round milgrain bezel band with it.

It looks lovely I would leave it as is!!

I had to come back and look at your ring again....our settings are SOOOOO similar!! See mine here with pics of my wedding band, too if you''re interested!

I ditto this..this is exactly the ring that popped into my mind when I read this thread

beautiful ring with an antique heirloom quality to it. The prong issue adds character IMO but might as well get a second opinion on whether it can be adjusted in any way. I think it could be done if the ones that are closer together can be pulled out slightly and the ones on the other side are pushed in to compensate. I''m not a jeweler though.

Your ring is beautiful! Congratulations on your engagement!
As for the wedding band...I love both the bands that have been posted here...either one would look just lovely with your e-ring.

Oh wow! You weren''t kidding. Beautiful set (of course I"m a little bias ;) I love the combination with your stone.

I''m assuming this was directed towards me? Thank you. Our sets are so similar. I don''t know if you could see but my prongs are triple claw prongs and I love them! If you don''t love your prongs you could always ask to see if it''s possible to change them. I''m excited to see what you do for a wedding band. I may have to get another wedding band/stacking band!

gorgeous ring. I see what you mean about the prongs. I wish I had some advice, I know the other ladies are uber knowledgable so I''ll just leave it that I think your set is stunning

Just wanted to chime in and say your ring is gorgeous. I agree it''s best to go try on a bunch and see what you like

Burke, Ya sorry it was directed at you. Guess I''m still a posting rookie. I went back & looked at your setting again this morning, I LOVE IT!! I also love the extra detail along the bottom of the band, very nice touch.

You have a beautiful ring, I just wanted to reply I had the same problem with my ring too, my prongs were not all even. One side had the prongs closer together than the other, I needed it sized anyhow so they fixed it then, but mine is VERY simple, a diamond with a band, and that''s that! I don''t want to rain on your parade, but I can see that issue in your pictures, not saying that people will notice, but just so you don''t think you''re crazy with everyone on here saying they can''t tell...unless you and I just have good eyes, maybe I should become a jeweler because I notice the VERY SMALL details such as this...

Your best buy would be to go in and try on a ton of rings to see what suits it, I just picked my wedding ring out last night and it''s totally not what I imagined, but I fell in love with it as soon as it was paired with my ring! Now I''m not sure if I want to buy it from the place I saw it or find a similar one from somewhere else!
