I'm curious - what's the grey ring around the center?

Hello PSers!

I am loving all the knowledge I've acquired since I've been on here. Many of you may have seen my previous posts on helping choose my upgrade. I have seen lots of people take photos of their rings in a toilet roll, so I thought I would with my current ring. When I first got my ring I loved it, but now I look at it totally differently, this is an 5.1 on the HCA! The diamond I selected is a 1.2 - can't wait to see it.

What is the grey ring around the center? Is this the blasted light leakage we speak of?
