With a 41.2 pavilion in general you will want to stay under a 34 crown.. something like 33.5

Thank you Karl!
:-)

Cover the indented natural with a prong and we''ll have a very clean VS1!
But the weight retention in the girdle is not nice!

looks good but need to know the actual pavilion angle, the gia rounding could make a difference in knowing how it handles obstruction.
Hmm, I don''t think JA does Sarin.
The pictures looks so good!
The only thing I hate about is to pay for 1.04ct when the size says 0.99ct.
4% girdle...

JA does Sarin and IS.

Thank for all the time you take to check, Karl!
Do you have a new top 5?

And this one Karl?

thumbs up

So this one isn't in your top 5?

(I continue tomorrow, it's late here.)
Its a good one 2,, the I's are less money

For some reason the G link is broke...
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-VS2-Premium-Cut-Round-Diamond-1241039.asp

OK, here we go:

The 1.21 H VS2 has a nice pattern but:
- I often had problems with deeper pavilions
- The inclusion plot isn''t good
- When using percentages from the GIA cert (with 44% pavilion), HCA score is not EX.
Of course, we prefer to use angles, but on a GIA cert, everything is rounded
so percentage could help us to know the angles better. Am I wrong?

The very nice 0.91 G VS2:
- too many inclusions visible in the picture
- same deep pavilion as above (41.2), but perhaps not as deep as because
here we only have 43.5%

So my idea is:
Choose between one of those 2 diamonds:

I think they are both lovely!
The 1.02 is my fav because of it''s funny HCA (everything EX but not light return), I also prefer the inclusions. The 1.05 might have a visible crystal, do you agree?

If I buy one of these 2 diamonds, I would have enough money to pay VAT again when JA reimburse me the difference (as FedEx isn''t working very fast).

What do you think?

When I receive the IdealScope pictures, it will be easier to choose.
I''ll keep you updated!

Ask about the inclusions most of them are needles which are usually very very tiny but look much worse on the report.
Great point, Karl!
Will it have as much fire under jewelry lighting than a tradition ideal cut diamond?
Thank you!

by just a little for you I think you would be happy with either.
The prices are gone wasn't the I a whole lot cheaper?

Let us wait for the other IS pictures and we will pick the one that has the best chances to project fire across a room under strong lighting while pleasing my eye at arm distance.
The H-VS2 Karl has found looks perfect, I''m especially waiting for the 1.02 I-VS2.
How exciting!
