Well its been many years, and I never did upgrade my set. We decided we needed flooring and a transmission for the truck instead of upgrading my ring. Seeing how we are now going on our 10th year anniversary, I've asked for an anniversary upgrade. I just wanted a wedding band upgrade, He suggested my diamond again.
Hubby wants to take a look at a couple of local jewelry places tomorrow while I am am having a medical procedure... lol isn't that nice. HA! He found a couple of diamonds. One that scored a 1.2 on the HCA Tool (which I plan on using of course) and the other scored a 1.0. I want to make sure that they are eye clean. One of them, I am pretty sure it won't be.
Hubby is suck on color and size. I keep telling him I would rather have a Ideal cut, and a smaller stone (but larger than I have) and more fire than a larger stone and losing light and just not as pretty.
The stone I will be replacing is -
G
.47
SI1
cut - good
I want something from
.70-1.00 range
D-H (I don't mind going up a little in color as long as its not noticeable).
Excellent or Ideal cut
Im not opposed to purchasing through a pricescope vendor (whiteflash though Id have to pay taxes for WF, james allen, good old gold), he may be. I may have to talk to him about it.... warm him up to the idea. Perhaps a road trip to Houston... hehe
Once I actually do find something, or if he decides to just upgrade my wedding band, then I will post new pictures.
I have also decided to get my rings unsolder finally. Mainly because I finally want the choice to wear something different if I want too.
