Wonderful news, Madelise!!! I'm so happy for you!

Are you following JustGingers three stone ring she's doing to mark her three years in grad school? I'm just saying... you're going to need some bling to celebrate!!

:naughty: Wouldn't that be nice? Mine is a 2 year program. I'm not into bypass rings, though. Ha! Maybe studs one day? But I'm pretty content with my collection so far..

Congratulations!

I wasn't worried . . . ;))

Did you give away the $25? Or do something for someone else . . . ? I'm not feeling that you did . . . It's always best to keep the karma in balance . . .

But all that dust everyone sent was a big help, wasn't it? That's some powerful stuff. :appl:

Yikes, sorry about the lack of update! I thought I wrote in the last thread we had our convo in, but I guess I never hit "send"! I'm very out-of-it lately, sorry.

I don't know why you're feeling that I didn't? Did I "find" the wrong person? I went to my work to turn in a scholarship application, and brought $100 in a red envelope and kept it in my pocket. After turning in my scholarship, I went by her area of the department and asked her to take a break with me. It was prob weird because I was obviously not working, and was in street clothes, and we haven't worked together in over a year so we haven't really talked much. She spilled so much more of her story to me, and I found out that there's some sort of abuse going on :?: Or something. She was venting, and I didn't want to ask her to clarify. I wanted to just let her speak what she felt she needed to speak. Apparently, her kids have stopped peeing in their sleep since she took them and went away. Three children under 5! So I gave $25 for each: herself, and her 3 children. She didn't know the amount, and I gave it to her in the red envelope. I told her to put it under her pillow for good luck, since that's what we traditionally do with a red envelope. She shared that she really really needed it, because she needed $600 for something regarding transferring her children mid-school year to somewhere closer to her father's house? Something like that. Their job position has less than 2 weeks left.. so I'm glad I could help her somewhat. More than that, she knows she can call me to watch her kids, too. Thank you for telling me to do this, iLander. It was extremely cathartic, and I just felt this great happiness after I hugged her goodbye. And she gave me a lot of tips and words of wisdom for my trip to meet my father, too.

Thanks again, guys!!! :wavey: Seriously, I don't think I can ever be this happy until I have a baby or something. I was being vague on Facebook, and had a few friends insist my happiness was due to an engagement.. but honestly, I don't think an engagement would make me this happy! This is a self-made achievement, and no man can ever make me feel as accomplished as I can feel from my own doing. ;)) So keep me waiting, SO, that's fine! I'm happier than ever :naughty: haha.

Dreamer: I am studying speech-language pathology :sun:

Oh, I bet this will make you happier than having kids too  Hopefully this path of study will not poop on your hands, keep you up all night, and scream really loud in the car for fun!

Congrats and savour this feeling!

Haha, but this will lead me to eventually working with kids that will scream really loud :praise: Maybe no poo or keeping me up all night since they eventually get returned to parents!

Karma is so powerful, isn't it?

:appl: :appl: That is such an awesome story...glad you could pass on the love! <3

Congrats! This post really reminded me of myself... say 7 years ago. I got into a school that was close to home and half the tuition of private universities (not to mention better reputation). I know how good you must be feeling right now, immerse in that feeling because days don't get better than these.

Now don't say you got into UCSF, because that would be REALLY uncanny.

Thank you! Not UCSF, lol, but another school in CA :wavey:
