I went to look at a stone today, but being a novice, not really sure about what I looked at. Don''t get me wrong, it was very, very nice. But I haven''t seen anyone mention an IGL certification, mainly GIA, AGS, and EGL. The person I went to see is someone that my best friend uses for all his purchases, and his dad also used him. Here are the specs from the IGL certification:
1.270 carat
Princess Cut
Width: 5.84 mm
Length: 5.89 mm
Ratio: 1.01
Crown Angle: 41.5º
Crown Height: 12.4%
Pavillion Angle: 40.4º
Pavillion Depth: 59.5%
Table Size: 71.2%
Girdle Thickness: 3.5%
Total Depth: 75.4% (4.40mm)
Symmetry: Very good
Polish: Very good
Color: I
Fluorescence: None
He said the stone would appraise for over 10k, and my price is half that. Help!!!!
