IGI VS AGS/GIA

Hi,

I''ve been reading a lot of old threads on this forum which basically says that the IGI grading is not as strict as GIA/AGS Grading. Is this still the case today?

Does anyone know which grading system is used more by Australian jewellers?

Hi Cindy,

Apparently IGI are used by mall jewellers, I believe they are said to be softer on grading still than AGS or GIA. I am not sure which is the preferred lab in Australia but if Garry H sees this he will probably know.
