I don''t think this lab is considered the most respected lab...but would you please tell me what these measurements mean? Just don''t know if this is a good stone - for my budget that is - I''m not sure about the masurement
Round Brilliant Cut
Measurement: 6.07 - 6.15 x 4.08 MM
1.01 CT(S)
Colorless (E)
SI(2)
Good/good (Polish Symetry)
The stone will cost me $5000
Is that fair?

okay - I'm worried! ha ha!

6.07 - 6.15 x 4.08 MM

Must not be good?

Exactly what I was wondering!!! We were posting concurrently, mine was submitted after yours! Hopefully, someone can tell us if these are well-cut stones!

I'm not the best judge, but at quick glance the measurements should be much closer together for a ROUND brilliant cut.

Also, all things being equal, a 1ct RB would be 6.5 mm in diameter. Also note that a 1 ct RB is actually 1 mm bigger/wider than a 1 ct Princess, due to cut. Since the demand for excellent cut RB's are high, they are priced higher too.

They hold color less, so you can compromise on the color, and perhaps go up in clarity, as this will increase it's sparkle.

Others will be able to tell you more in detail, but that's my take.

In summary: I would pass.

Ugh! That's a very deep stone, judy. The depth, at 66.7%, makes it look like a 0.80ct stone. The price is not outrangeous if you bought locally, but you can get a very well cut stone for that price on the net. So, to be honest, I think you could do better, considering your budget. Don't be shy to go out and check, compare and price out different qualities of cut and color/clarity and see what you prefer.

I am just learning that it is too deep - thank you so much for your comments - we have canceled the order - we had received our receipt but the actual stone was to be mounted tonight so there is no problem - thank goodness - THANKS! I'll let you know what I find....
