I just heard IGI (International Gem. Inst.) is in Canada. I don't have to worry about buying a diamond. They have 4-5 offices world wide. Go to igiworlwide.com

I don't want to say anythig bad about IGI organisation.

However, the fact is that IGI grading reports are not respected in the industry as GIA. They are considered less strict in their gradings.

You can find plenty of diamonds with IGI reports in the malls.

Diamonds with IGI grading reports usually cost less than similar diamonds with GIA reports.

Just be carefull.

I never contested that GIA was worse. We just don't have access to an international grading firm. Thanks for the tip.
