Experts,

I was hoping for some feedback on a diamond I am considering purchasing. I have read a fair bit on the topic but need to engage the experts to make sure I am getting a good deal on the purchase price of this diamond. ECHO Diamond Cut

Price - $9,650.00 USD

The diamond is gorgeous and I had to look through a x60 magnification to even see the inclusions. My biggest concern is price and Color Grade as there is a very slight yellow tint to the diamond. When compared with the setting it will be placed in it was much more difficult to see the tint.

Opinions? Thoughts on Price?

Your Feedback is Highly appreciated.

It looks good, and the price seems about right. but around $1000 more than what I seen from other sites. Are u buying online or from a local store?

You are going to hear this a lot but IGI stones are not very reliable. There is a chance that the specs on the stone are accurate. I had a diamond that was graded by both IGI and GIA and the grading was identical. There is also a chance that this stone is actually a lower grade in cut, color, and/or clarity. This could mean that you pay more money for a lesser quality.

Did you compare it to any other diamonds? Perhaps some others that were not graded by IGI. If this stone sparkles just as much as a GIA 3X or an AGS Ideal 0 then you could be in good shape. I have never looked at stones that large but for an SI1 it should be fairly easy to see the inclusions at x10 mag, let alone x60 they should be obvious. Try searching for some diamonds from Whiteflash, James Allen, etc. and see where this one compares. Odds are you can find a much better diamond out there
