if you had to pick between a radiant or an emerald which would it be ?

No contest for me, I would pick an EC in a heartbeat. These can give very different looks so if you aren''t sure, look at some in person to see which shape you like best.

Blissful, didn''t you upgrade an asscher to your a radiant?

of course i did ! it''s just a question. I love my radiant, and is sparkles much much more then my asscher which has the step facets like a emerald. though the asscher is a clean cut, no one really could see the beauty of the stone except when you are close up. My radiant catches eyes faster because of the brilliance! lol

I was just wondering if others felt the same way i did.

While I like how deep and clean ECs can look I prefer sparkle in my own ering. Now as a second diamond I would LOVE an EC or Asscher!

I have to ditto this...would love one for a second (and third) diamond!

LOL, I had a similar predicament. In the end I chose neither of them and picked a ''hybrid'' cut.

Oh well, there are 9 other fingers...

I would always pick an EC........And believe me, the right EC will sparkle like crazy!!! Love your new 3 stone though!!! Where are the new pics?

To me, radiants sparkle and ECs flash. LOL

I have a radiant and absolutely love it.

But I could easily entertain an EC for my right hand.

I tend to be drawn to the rectangular stones.

I gotcha! My EC flashes brightness, almost blinding in the sunlight (bad when I''m driving!)

And I second the request for pictures of your newest upgrade!

Emerald!! I went with a round for brilliance, but I also long for that FLASH of an emerald cut. They also have such an elegance about them. A really well-cut one just takes my breath away!

Emerald. Radiants trap color and there''s just too much going on in them for me. I''ve seen very few exquisite emeralds (all belong to PSers as a matter of fact), but the ones I have seen just suit me down to the bone. They are very organized, understated. I have an asscher, so I do appreciate the look. The only thing I don''t care about asschers is their spread... but EC''s actually have decent spread if you get a good l/w ratio and a nice depth.

Radiants are too chaotic for my eye ... even in most colored diamonds. Only seen a few I''d consider for myself. (All canary yellow.)

EC, no question. Radiants are just rectangular brilliants. Boring to me.

ECs for me. I love the clean steps and the big flash. I''m not fond of the big tabled radiant and the different sparkle pattern.

Given that I have a sparkly e-ring, I''d go for the EC next. Love the clean elegance and white flashes. I like really elongated shapes, so I''d always get an EC over an asscher.
