I'm proposing to my girlfriend in 6 weeks and I'm running out of time and starting to panic.

If you had a $15,000 budget and wanted:

H color or better
Around 1.6-1.7 carats
VS2 or very clean Sl1

If you are not upgrading then the JA stone is more appealing to me. Personally, I think it will be very difficult to tell even a tiny difference with naked eye. They will both look equally beautiful in person, so I would lend towards bigger and cleaner one for the similar price.

The WF 1.742 H-SI1 ACA would be my first choice, assuming WF confirms it is eye-clean (for me, I'd ask whether it is eye-clean from top and sides from 6" away but your definition of eye-clean may vary. WF's official definition is set forth on their FAQ page, about 1/4 down https://www.whiteflash.com/about-diamonds/faq/). NOTE: The WF stone is slightly over your $15K budget, with wire price of $15,175.

Though coming in just over 1-1/2 carats, I also really like this BGD 1.510ct H-VS1 Signature Blue, with wire price of $14,534. DS, perhaps I'm misreading the certificates, but the 3824323 diamond cert (1.615ct H-VS2) shows a feather under the table, along with clouds and crystal. The 1.742ct H-SI1 cert shows two clouds only in the table area with a couple feathers located in the girdle/pavilion area. ???

That's a great find! Table looks to be clear of inclusions in the pictures, which I always think is the most important thing in making diamonds look eye clean (although I can't get the GIA report to open on this computer).
