If you could ask your furbaby 3 questions what would those questions be?

I would love to ask my cats the following questions. There are many more but if I could only ask them 3 questions these would be the questions.

1. Do you love us?
2. What can we do to make your life better?
3. How would you describe your perfect day?

I would ask him about his past, before we had him. Were you abused? Why do you bite us?
We adopted him from the shelter.
He has issues, and I'm pretty sure he was abused.

He had two different names on his microchip, so he was sent to a shelter at least twice.
His tail is kinked near the end, I assume from being smashed in a door.

His one fang is 1/3 broken off, and on the same side of his face, his eye weeps and his nose sometimes runs. He also sneezes. So putting all that together, I think someone kicked or hit him on that side of the face, hard enough to break his fang off, and maybe damage his sinuses.

On top of all that, he bites (sometimes very hard) when he gets exited. So playing with him sometimes is a cautionary event. I think someone taunted him as a kitten , and now he plays aggressively.
This is probably why he was in the shelter multiple times, and maybe why someone struck him after he bit them.

But he's improved vastly in the 5 years we've had him. I can sometimes read him, and when he gets "bitey" I leave him alone.
But he's a very good boy most of the time, and he loves hugs and kisses.
He LOVES his daddy, and the two are inseparable.

He’s beautiful @stracci2000.
So glad you guys saved him and he’s one lucky kitty.

All our cats were rescue cats too and all had a challenging past. That’s a good question. I’m just not sure I’m strong enough to hear their answer re their past. Bobby was definitely abused and when you approach him you must be super cautious or you will get swiped and scratched. And tommy was a mouser at work under horrible conditions for 2 years. He’s very skittish but loving on his terms. As for different names on the microchip we changed Oliver’s name so he had another name on the microchip before the name Oliver so maybe Your cat’s name was changed vs 2 different rescue groups?

Thanks for rescuing your furry babies. Rescues are challenging but rewarding.

There were many times that I was really mad at him for biting me, but this is his forever home, and he's staying.
It's not his fault if he was treated badly in the past.
He is such a change from our last cat who was gentle and shy.
But he is super sweet 90% of the time!

Hmmm... hard to think of questions for all instead of specific ones to each.

1. Which cat is your favorite cat sibling?
2. What do I do that annoys you?
3. Why do you use your cuteness against me?

I would’ve asked Dottie

(1) are you happy with us?
(2) you do know we’re coming back even when we have to leave you at times?
(3) are you hurting anywhere?

Good one!!!!!

What can we do better?

I'd ask the pony if he actually enjoys jumping obstacles (which seems to be the case... Just to be sure)

my friend's eventing horse was an ex race horse
one of her cross country compitions was held near to the race track
he would appair to get all happy and excitted when he heard the noises coming from the races =)2

Did you know how much I loved you?
Do you forgive me for things I did wrong?
Would you want to see me if I came looking for you at Rainbow Bridge?

In addition to some of the questions above, I would ask:

What makes you decide to purr?
Why can’t you cough up your hair balls where I won’t step in them?
What do you think about all day long?
How come you’re so cute?

I know they only love me for the food, so I wouldn’t ask them anything about love!=)2

My first thoughts were
1) Do you know how much I love you?
2) Same as your #2
3) Do you love me?

I think I would toss out my #3 to instead ask how I can get him to stop being mean to his sister.

Maybe I would toss out my 1st question to ask if he is hurting anywhere. That is a great question, @Austina.

I love this thread! I would have a few questions:

What makes you feel loved and safe?

What's your favorite food?

Would you know how to get home if you ever got out?

How is it that you know when I'm feeling blue?

Do you understand anything I say?

Do you miss me when I travel?

I think we have the answers to some of these.

Do you miss me when I travel?

My resounding guess here is Yassssss they do. Because when we get back they are all upset with us for a while and then they gradually forgive us.

Do you understand anything I say?

I think they do. When I say time to eat they come running to the kitchen for food.

When I say come here they generally do.

And when I call their names they know who I am calling.

How is it they know when we are feeling blue?

They are living beings and they can read moods. I agree they know (well some of them do lol) when we are down. When I was sad and housebound with my broken leg Francesca stayed by my side. She knew I needed her.

What makes you feel loved and safe?

When we are there with them. When they are in our laps purring. In fact, anytime they are purring and content I think that means they are feeling loved and safe. Not all purrs mean the same of course but I think we can tell when it is a happy purr vs a nervous purr and the happy purrs qualifies as feeling loved and safe. IMO.

1. If you are going to bring so many birds into my house, please can you clean up the feathers & intestine things?

2. Do you think it's entertaining watching us scramble around moving furniture trying to catch live mice? FOR DAYS AND DAYS??!

3. Do you know how much we love you despite the telling off you get over the above?

i know its sad for the birds and we love the birds but we never tell cats off for catching them
i thank them for the wonderful thoughtful present
Gary says its good for their mental health to catch things
i dont let them eat them and if they are alive i get them back outside
asap
but one of the funnist things Tinky ever did - and he did it twice - twice on mornings Gary was packing to go on a hunting trip,
Tinky brought him in a mouse as if to say ' this is how you do it Dad'

1) Do you want a fur-sibling to hang out with when we are at work/school?
2) Which human is your favorite? You seem to love us equally.
3) Do you remember your doggie parents? What breed(s) were they?

I really want to know #3, because Noah was sold to me as a "Teacup Maltese Poodle" and he is neither Teacup size (almost 20lbs), nor does he look to have Maltese or Poodle in his geneology because he looks like a miniature golden retriever and sheds a LOT!
