Hi.
I had been thinking I wanted a "Novo inspired" setting, but every time I try something like it on, the non-smooth feeling of the pave against my fingers really bothers me. Has anyone else experienced this? So now, I am thinking of possible alternatives.
One thought is a Mark Morrel Fancy Torchiere[ /url] since the diamonds seem more flush with the band. I got to talk to Mark the other day and he already said he would be willing to give this design a try with a four prong crown for a cushion. Do you think it would be comfortable?
Second choice for me, would be a setting with pear side stones. I never really thought I would want a 3 stone ring, but I tried one on at a B&M today and was surprised how much I liked it. And it was very comfortable. For a 1.5 carat square cushion, what size pears would be good as smaller side stones? What about for closer to a 1 ct. cushion?
I know that straight channel set is another option, but my original wedding ring that was stolen was channel set, so I am trying to start fresh. And I have tried on solitaires, but just didn''t fall in love with any of them, so I have ruled that setting style out as well.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
Thank you in advance!
