I would still say no

C''mon, DF - no recycling topics!

If money was no object I''d get one 3ct D IF RB, one 5+ ct D IF asscher, and one 5+ K/L/M chunky cushion.

if money were no object, i probably wouldn''t wait around to find a D IF in the size and cut i wanted... DEF and IF/VVS/VS1 are all indistinguishable to my eye anyway.

that being said, i''d buy an RB, but probably wouldn''t go above 2-2.5ct. above that it just gets unreasonably big... then again, my OH might disagree

Probably not. No one would believe it was real.

Yeah sure, I''d get a RB with those specs but if I was getting the OMC of my dreams I think I''d want something a little warmer.

Yes.

I suppose I''d go for the IF. And the color would depend on the cut. For an emerald cut, I''ll take the D. H is fine for a round, and maybe a K-N for a GOG cushion.

Ditto.

I do not like the cold, icy look of a D either. I would get an F or G.

No.

Yes!

Assuming it's not an antique cut and that I have to go with a white diamond, then yes.

I mean, if money is no object, I don't have motivation to get the best "deal", I can just go for rarity and collection prestige with a D IF. It'd be nice to have a diamond that is actually "rare" in terms of natural statistical availability for an ering.

Although if money really is no object, I'd go with colored diamonds!

Nope. I prefer some color in my big gemstones. So I would want a low color diamond instead.

no

Yes Yes - Naturally-colored diamonds.

If money was not a consideration I'd get a flawless 3-carat a Fancy Deep or Vivid violet, green, red or blue (no modifiers) asscher that was cut for light performance, not color intensity.
I realize these would be impossible to find, but we're dreaming here.

It depends on the money is no object thing... as an exercise I''d get an IF but I''d want a D and an L or M because I LIKE the very faint yellow warmth but I''d want one of each.

If the money is no object thing meant I could say donate the extra money to someone who needed it more I would get the M VS2 lol

Oooooh...that''s music to my ears. Sure, if money were truly no object, I''d be all about the blue. But if we''re talking white diamonds only, I wouldn''t have a problem with D/IF. I still don''t think I''d seek it out specifically, but rather I''d find some ideal cut diamonds of the perfect size that speak to me, and then consider color/clarity and go for the best of the lot.

Oh yes.

I wouldn''t seek out a D IF stone if money was no object but if I happened across one that was everything else I was looking for (cut quality, shape, etc) then I would certainly snap it up. The D IF part isn''t hugely important to me but if a stone was perfect in everything that is important to me and I had enough $$ that it wasn''t an issue to pay the premium then I would.

To me today money is a HUGE object so I couldn''t justify a D IF stone so matter how ''perfect for me'' the stone might be.

My preference is not for the icy white high colors. So I would not get a D. I like a little warmth. But I could take an IF.

You buyin''?

No. I would by an L still because I like the warmth better than icy white. I ended up with an SI1 to save money, but honestly I would have been happy if there would have been a small visible inclusion to make the diamond unique.

Since we're dreaming here, I might as well dream big, LOL!!

If money were really no object and I didn't have to worry about getting the biggest bling with my money, I'd buy the following:

1) 5ct RB D IF BGD H&A Signature
2) 6ct GOG old mine cushion/ August vintage cut (yes, I'd still want that icy white D colour and an IF)
3) 8ct EC HW or Cartier D IF
4) Graff's amazing vivid or intense yellow cushion - 10ct
5) a largish (5ct upwards) deep vivid red or blue or pink diamond - of any shape, but preferably cushion or pear or asscher, depending on the availlability of course!

I'd want ALL these to have the best cut and hence the best light return.

In the immortal words of Sarah Palin: You betcha!

No, I''m just too frugal (I''d always want to feel like I was getting a steal...its part of the fun for me!)

Nope. I like the color of my Q better than that of my J, so a D is not for me. And IF? Boring, to me. I often pull out a loupe to look at the crystal in my J. If money were no object I''d prefer an intense yellow with a crystal or two.
