After studying here for a few weeks, in October I realized I wanted an ideal/signature cut 2.5 G VS2 between $30k to $40k. This forum pointed out how hard that would be since more larger stones are cut to maximize the weight and above 2 carats, the volume drops as dramatically as the price goes up.

Over November to January, I talked to three PS vendors and went into retail shops to practice shop (some people were nice, but some were so pressure-oriented), but one person in particular pulled four stones for me, took the images and emailed them, and talked me through that next level of differentiation as we talked about the HCA score, ASET images, Idealscope and compared two excellent choices.

It was nice to have someone being my eyes in New York, but the point that killed me was that one of last two stones wasn''t his at all, but another vendor''s and I could tell when he said, "Chris, which one do you like better?" that what meant more was that I had the one I wanted. I could have been picky, I could have been stupid, but after all the calls, emails and effort, only buying the RIGHT diamond mattered. And that was the advice of Yekutiel Davidov of I.D. Jewelry Online.

We found one more - actually Yekutiel found it, but it sure felt like we did and I got an email saying "found the winner!" He matched the best PS listed price, set it in the morning, shipped it in the afternoon and after I picked up on Saturday at 10:00 am and he was right. I was engaged by noon.

Although I only owned it for a few hours, here is the ASET her 2.57 G, VS2 and if you could see it, it really performs. Maybe I can dig out that camera and add a better shot.

The only thing nicer is seeing my fiance, a sweet, sincere, girl-next-door, sitting at her cubicle with an outrageous rock that you can''t help but notice. I''m sure many PS vendors do well with customers, but in addition to running a business Yekutiel proved again and again that I''d be happy finding out my right choice no matter where I bought that stone. So, thank you Pricescope and thank you Yekutiel.

I really LOVE this part of your story! Some vendors get it and some vendors don''t... I don''t know Yekutiel at IDJ personally, but based on this statement I like his style
