If diamonds became so rare...

I wouldn't sell my ering ... but I would have to start "wearing it" where the sun don't shine

. If they're soooooooo valuable all of a sudden -- wouldn't stealing be rampant & sporting 'em quite dangerous?



ETA: kinda regretting that "square" cut now

shoulda gone ROUND! 'course the culet is gonna be a killer no matter what.

Assuming the massive inflation was strictly limited to diamonds and not all other asset classes: absolutely - sold.

I''d switch to a gorgeous colored stone for awhile, until diamonds fell again.

I probably would sell mine. How bad is that?

No, I wouldn''t sell mine b/c my engagement ring and wedding ring are too special to me. My other diamonds were taken from my grandmother''s ring and turned into earrings and a necklace. Since that''s all I have, it''s an easy decision!
Ok, maybe I''d be tempted.. I mean, I could use obscene amounts of money! But I don''t think I''d do it.

I''d sell them. Let''s see, I have earrings that would go, my original engagement ring, I probably wouldn''t get rid of the wedding band but it only has about .11 anyway. I might get rid of the e-ring I usually wear which is not my original e-ring. Getting rid of it would be the hardest, I like it most.
